Pressure Regulators
Pressure regulators maintain established system pressure in the discharge line and at the pump head. It allows excess flow to be by-passed back to inlet of pump, to a tank, or to drain. The pressure regulator also keeps the system at constant pressure in applications where the demand changes or when a trigger gun is released, solenoid (gate) valve is closed or nozzle is clogged, thus by-passing all excess flow.
A wide range of pressure regulators are available from Cat Pumps including the 7000 series regulators. The 7000 series regulators are exclusive to Cat Pumps and have advances in regulator technology not available anywhere else. Those advances make for a smoother, longer lasting, more precise and safe regulator.

Unloaders
A pressure-sensitive unloader gives all the pressure control of a regulator, plus provides an energy and system savings feature that by-passes flow at low pressure when there is zero demand. This feature is typically only used in applications using shut-off guns because the unloader reacts to the back pressure (pressure spike) caused when the gun is shut off. When the shut-off gun is opened back up the system will return to established pressure.
A wide-range of unloaders is available from Cat Pumps, and feature color-coded springs for easy identification. Convert one model to another model by simply substituting the spring. Compact design with multiple port sizes available.

Relief/Pop-Off Valves
A Relief Valve, or Pop-Off Valve, is a secondary pressure regulating device used to back up the primary regulating device. If the primary regulating device fails to by-pass at a set system pressure, the relief valve will open and allow liquid to flow freely. A relief valve can save costly pump and system damage, and more importantly it’s an added safety feature to protect those working around the equipment.
Product Range:
0 to 320 GPM, 0 to 10,000 PSI
Typical Usage:
Used for single pump, multiple pumps, nozzle and gun applications.
Materials:
Available in brass, 304 and 316 stainless steel

Pulsation Dampener
A Pulsation Dampener is an accumulator with a set pre-charge that absorbs system shocks while minimizing pulsations, pipe vibration, water hammering and pressure fluctuations. By minimizing pulsation in the system components like regulators, solenoids, sensors, etc., pumps will see decreased wear and have longer life. Pulsation dampeners are tied directly onto the discharge manifold or plumbed immediately downstream of the pump.
Cat Pumps offers a wide assortment of pulsation dampeners to meet the demands of any application. From completely sealed to completely re-buildable. The bladders are pre-charged with nitrogen to eliminate moisture and extend the life of the pulsation dampener.

Used when a smooth output flow and pressure is required.
Materials:
Available in brass, 304 and 316 stainless steel
Bladders are available in medium nitrile buna (NBR), fluorocarbon (FPM), ethylene proplylene diene monomer (EPDM)
Pressure Gauges
A Pressure Gauge is used to monitor a pump’s discharge or inlet pressure. They are filled with glycerine for consistent pressure readings and use 1/4” or 1/2” NPTM inlet ports. Sealed stainless steel cases eliminate corrosion risk.
Product Range:
Up to 20,000 PSI

Inlet Pressure Stabilizers
An Inlet Pressure Stabilizer (or Captive Acceleration Tube) is used to maintain consistent inlet pressure to the pump. The internal flexible tube absorbs energy from a pressurized feed which maintains a consistent pressure and flow through pump inlet. Having consistent inlet conditions will improve pump performance and reduce the risk of cavitation.
Inlet Pressure Stabilizers are compact, and easy-to-install with a variety of adapter sizes ranging from 1/2” to 3”.
Product Range:
Up to 320 GPM
Typical Usage:
Used on applications with long feed lines, booster pumps, or high temperature.

Stainless steel adapter and elbow assemblies, Polyvinyl Chloride/Polyester/Butyl internal hose.
Pulse Pumps
Pulse Pumps are designed to inject harsh chemicals downstream of the pump, ensuring the pump is protected from potential damage. In order to operate properly, a metering valve and a closed-center 3-way ball valve are required. Conversion instructions to install on plunger or piston pumps can be found on data sheets for models 6350, 6300, 6305. Existing pumps can easily be retrofitted in the field.
Product Range:
1 – 12 GPM, 500 – 3000 PSI
Typical Usage:
Used for harsh chemical application.

Stainless steel internal components, Hi-Temp seals, Fluorocarbon o-rings.
Jetters
Cat Pumps’ MAG-JET assembly converts a high-pressure pump to a jetting pump by isolating one of the three valve chambers. To install a MAG-JET simply remove the inlet valve plug and valve assembly from a valve chamber, then insert the MAG-JET and tighten. To activate jetting action, push in its handle. To return pump to full-flow high-pressure operation, pull out the handle. Very easy to install and very easy to use.
